FAQs

  1. If it’s a free event, do I need a ticket?
Admittance to College Park Day is completely free! Get event updates and let us know you’re coming on our Eventbrite or Facebook event page!
  2. What should I bring?
To ensure a great time, we recommend bringing sunblock, money (for food and drink), sunglasses, and comfortable shoes for walking (or dancing)! Please do not bring alcohol, drugs, or weapons to the event site. We ask that you not bring your pets due to large crowd sizes.  Service animals are welcome.
  3. Is alcohol sold?
Yes, beer vendors will sell to those who are of legal age and have a valid state ID. We understand that some attendees may prefer to avoid alcohol; there will be plenty of non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy as well!
  4. Can I purchase food at the event?
Yes, there will be a variety of food trucks on site to purchase food from. Interested in being a food vendor? Applications will be taken beginning May 1st. Priority consideration will go to applications received by June 30, 2025. Applications received after June 30th will be considered on a rolling basis if space permits.
  5. Can I volunteer to help on event day?
YES! This event would not be possible without the generous support of our community. If you are interested in volunteering, please go to www.collegeparkmd.gov/volunteers for volunteer opportunities.
  6. How do I get there?
Free parking is available near the event site, and shuttle service is available from: the University of Maryland Campus (Regents Drive Garage), City of College Park City Hall, or the College Park-University of Maryland Metro Station Garage. Bike racks are also available at the event site.
  7. Is it the event accessible?
The event is held in the parking lot of the College Park Aviation Museum & Airport. The main area is paved, although there are some attractions in the grass that do not have hard-standing pathways. Limited accessible parking is available on a first come, first serve basis; enter from the main entrance off Campus Drive. There will be at least one accessible toilet on both ends of the event site – one temporary toilet near the food zone and a full bathroom located in the museum.
  8. Can I sell my goods or distribute materials about my company, organization, church, or program?
Anyone interested in being a community exhibitor at College Park Day, must fill out an application and be approved prior to the event. Vendors may not sell items or fundraise during the event. Applications will be accepted beginning July 1, 2025. Click here for our vendor application form.
  9. Are tickets required for Kids Zone games and inflatables?
No! There is no charge for inflatables or games and tickets are not required. Some inflatables have height or weight restrictions and may require a waiver to be signed by a parent or legal guardian to participate.
  10. Is there an age limit?
No, there is no age limit for admittance to College Park Day. Although the festival offers something for all ages, all festival-goers ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Some attractions have height requirements.
  11. Can I bring my pet(s)?
We love pets, but for everyone’s safety, we ask that only service animals are present at College Park Day. Due to the nature of some attractions and the crowd size at College Park Day, animals are restricted. Service animals must always remain on a leash or in a harness and under the control of the owner.
  12. Where is lost and found?
If you have lost something on the event day, or find something that belongs to someone else, please report to the City of College Park volunteer tent at the front of the event site. If you lose something after the event ends, please email events@collegeparkmd.gov with a description of your item. If you encounter a lost child, please report to the City’s tent immediately.
  13. Will there be an ATM on site?
No, most food trucks will take credit cards, however it may be good to have some cash, just in case!
  14. Is this a family friendly event?
YES! There is something for everyone!
